The National RAISE will be hosting its first in-person Summit since 2019 on June 24 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Join us as we explore new research on important relationships for successful outcomes​ regarding ​youth engagement, RSA parent center efforts, and more.

What Do Young Adults with Disabilities (and Parents!) Say about Their High School Preparation for Adult Life?
 
PRESENTER: Cheryl Thompson, Program Director, MPACT
 
DESCRIPTION: RAISE and MPACT partnered to ask youth and young adults with disabilities about the preparation they received and its impact on post-secondary outcomes. In this session, we will explore the implications of the data from over 600 self-identified young adults with disabilities and 150 parents in this newly released study. We will discuss the relationship between several forms of transition preparation, postschool outcomes, and life satisfaction. Join us as we explore the implications for building effective transition programming for improving adult outcomes.
 
RSA Parent Centers Spotlight
 
An Expert Perspective: A Panel on Youth Engagement and Parent Centers
 
PRESENTER: Everett Deibler, RAISE Youth Engagement Coordinator
 
DESCRIPTION: During this session members of RAISE’s Youth Advocates for Change (YAFC) will give their perspective on why youth engagement is so important and provide tips to attendees on how to improve their youth engagement initiatives.
